Welcome to burton joyce primary school

We are a part of the Equals Trust for pupils aged 5 – 11. In 2015 we formed The Acorn Federation with Cropwell Bishop Primary School, which has already established successful learning outcomes for pupils and teachers. If you and your child are joining our school community for the first time we look forward to a positive and successful partnership. If you already have a child here we hope your experience is a positive one.

The ethos of the school is one of high standards and achievement, of co-operation and support for everyone in our school community, respect and an awareness of others and their needs. There are many opportunities for children to develop their skills whatever their level of ability in an equal opportunities environment. We aim to provide a wide range of learning experiences where children will gain a positive self-image to help them on their path as happy and successful lifelong learners.

Our school’s philosophy and aims are in our Mission Statement though we would encourage you to visit our school to experience this on a more personal basis. We see the development of your child as a partnership between us, where we work together and learn together to develop the key skills to ensure our children are ‘Ready For Anything’. A warm invitation is extended to all parents and carers to attend all functions arranged by both the school and our Parent Teachers Association.
